The Centro Cultural Colombo Americano in Cali, officially recognized by the American Embassy in the United States in Bogota as a Binational Center, is a nonprofit foundation that has provided English language instruction and cultural activities for the past 56 years. Currently the Colombo Americano has four branches, two in Cali, one in Buga with 25 years of service and one in Palmira with 5 years of service. In these four branches the Colombo Americano has more than 5,000 students, covering a wide range of ages from four years to retirement age. As part of its mission as a nonprofit entity, the Colombo develops a program of public benefits, collected in social reports that present the work done in recent years.
The social objective of the Centro Cultural Colombo Americano is to foster positive relations between Colombia and the United States, bringing English language teaching service and the culture of the United States to the entire community of Valle del Cauca.
Centro Cultural Colombo Americano has a policy of nondiscrimination in all its programs and services, affirming the right of students, staff and other users to live, work and study in an environment free of discrimination or abuse. The Colombo Americano does not make decisions based on race, ethnicity, complexion, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, social status or other status in their admissions processes or operation of its programs, services or activities.
